Please see the below question, and provide me with the formula and the steps:

What is the depth of the longitudinal near field in the steel plate 5 inch thick when tested with a 2.25 MHz contact transducer having a 0.75 inch diameter circular the element?

    You can use one of these formulas to calculate near field;

    Where: N = Near Field Length (inch)
      D = Diameter of the Transducer (inch)
      F = Frequency of the Transducer (Hz)
      l = Wavelength (cycles/second)
      V = Velocity of Sound in the Material (In/sec)
