UT LEVEL III Certification Question.

I was told by a training admin. that we could no longer certify UTA with 40 hr LVL I training. I'm being told that according to ASNT (or as I was told), the UT LVL I training does not meet the requirements of 24 hr. UT IIA . Am I missing something or was this a miss interpretation? If they are correct can some one please explain?

  • If your certificate states level I training and does not state level II the hours don't matter. The course outlines are different.

Thanks for the response. Nothing in my written practice that supports either. but if you compare UTA and UT I Syllabi. there is nothing in UTA course outline that is not covered in UTI except "Procedures " as per CP-105 2016.
